Stanley Rule & Level Co. # 129 Liberty Bell c. 1910 Transitional Fore PlaneStanley Rule & Level Co. # 129 Liberty Bell c. 1910 Transitional Fore Plane  This Stanley Rule & Level Co. # 129 Liberty Bell Transitional Plane in good cosmetic condition w/ an apology. The cutter has the earliest logo, but it is pitted at the top and it is hard to make out. The adjuster part on the cutter is worn down and does not engage the planes adjuster which is OK.

The tote is very nice and worth the price of the whole plane. I will sell it separate, but for close to the asking price for the whole thing w/ less shipping.

Stanley
Gage / Liberty Bell / Defiance / Victor / Two Tone / 4 Square & Handyman Planes

Stanley / Gage # 4 Smooth PlaneStanley / Gage # G3 Smooth Plane This is a nice looking example. It dates from the 1930s and given how it is marked would be a type 3.  Some light pitting on the top front of the cutter.  It is OK down at the bottom where it matters. Good throat. The Rosewood handle and knob are both very nice. There has been some losses to the japanning. No structural issues, cracks chips or the like. Nice enough for the collection, or a good user!!

Stanley / Gage # G4 C Corrugated Bottom Smooth PlaneStanley / Gage # G4 C Corrugated Bottom Smooth Plane This is a nice looking example. It dates from the 1920s and given how it is marked Pat Appl'd For and without a G prefix, it would be a first model type 1.  The Rosewood handle and knob are both very nice. There has been minor losses to the japanning. No structural issues, cracks chips or the like. Nice enough for the collection, or a good user!!

Stanley S 5 Steel Jack PlaneStanley S 5 Steel Jack Plane This is a pretty nice example of a later Stanley S 5 first introduced in 1925. This line of planes made of folded steel as opposed to cast iron was produced up to 1942 and the start of WWII. This example without rivets is a later version.

The Rosewood handle and knob are both very nice. The vintage cutter in it has been there a long long time and is near full length and nice. There has been losses to the japanning as is typical. No structural issues. Very light pitting as is also typical. Nice enough for the collection, or a good user!!

Stanley Defiance Jack PlaneStanley Defiance Jack Plane The overall condition is about as nice as one could ask for. The 1950s Defiance line of planes and tools was another post WWII Stanley offering for the "NEW" buyer of tools in America. America's new consumer, the post war Happy Homeowner / Weekend Warrior. This version is marked only on the cutter.  It has a more typical design frog and lever cap than the lesser model they offered with the same model #.   Perfect for the collection, or perhaps today's casual user.  Looking for a real user, choose another.

Stanley 1105 Victor Jack PlaneStanley 1105 Victor Jack Plane  This Victor Jack Plane is near mint.  Finding them this nice is a rare occurrence, these days, even if the plane itself is not all that rare. Stanley introduced the  "Late" Victor line of planes during the height of the depression, and ended production with the start of WWII.   Perfect for the collection, or perhaps today's casual user.

Stanley Two Tone Jack PlaneStanley Two Tone Jack Plane  The Two Tone line of Stanley planes was another marketing entry into the marketplace by Stanley. Stanley sure was not trying to impress the working guy back from the war that bought his last Bed Rock plane before WWII ended the production of that line of quality planes.  Here we have fewer quality features dressed up colorfully to appeal to the eye.   Just what the admen decided the "New" American consumer was looking for.

Very nice condition, and perfect for the collection, or perhaps today's casual user.
