Troughton & Sims/ London 6" Ivory Protractor / Scale / Rule A nice example. Most
sellers call these off as an navigation tool, and many are found in cased
Maritime / Navigation sets, or as an architect scale / rule. This rule is marked Troughton & Sims/ London a well known English maker. It is configured similar to a Architects Rule with numerous scales and a protractor on the perimeter. Rules like this are usually found in boxed drafting sets, or traveling Shagreen cases associated with navigation or architects. It has developed a nice even yellow Patina, and the overall condition is good.

Stanley No. 2101A 10" Bell System B Auger Bit Brace Very nice!!
The 2101 brace is considered by many to be the finest user brace made. This example is very nice with nearly all
its plating and showing little signs of use. It is very nice.
This brace sat unused for many years and as is typical the original green grease inside had hardened and gummed up the works so it would not ratchet. Thanks to the step by step instructions found on Georges Basement Tool website I was able to disassemble, clean, and re assemble it, in a reasonable amount of time. All was good inside, the gummed up old grease just needed to be cleaned out. It now operates flawlessly and will last another lifetime.

Nice!! An early model with Rosewood handle, and the crank wheel roller guide that
was dropped on later models. It appears the small crank handle wood knob has
been repaired or

smooth as one would want. The favorite drill of users.

Craftsman 13 Piece Auger Drill Bit Set in Case

No. 85 Double End Non Sparking Brass Hammer The hammer weight is
approx. 10.4 ounces including the handle--handle is about
9 inches long. The head is brass and is 2 3/4" X 1" and has some chips and flaring on the ends - see photos.
I read they are for use in tire shops and removing the stems / weights. Sounds reasonable although they could be used in a number of other light duty applications, or hung with the rest.

unusual plier with a toothed gearing was granted a patent on June 17 1933. It is stamped 1 16 1933 for some reason.
The patentees name was Gilbey M. Clifton and the number is 1,915,404. The plier is stamped with a different 1933 date
than when the patent was actually granted for some reason, but that is the
patent. Different.

Patent 7" Adjustable Alligator Wrench This
unusual adjustable alligator wrench was granted a patent on August 29 1893.
The number is 504,041. The wrench says it is 1898, but that is incorrect. Mr. Kern hailed from Bellevue Ohio.
All that info can be found on the handle. I have only seen a couple of these over

punch is adjustable. I am not sure what the proper name for it is.
The "leather collar palm" is unmarked and in good condition. It was

is a 1952 edition. The title goes on to read Featuring ABC's of Figure Carving. Stohlman was a prolific writer
on how to work with and carve leather.

Gearhart Circular Knitting Machine I remember
walking past circular knitting machines like this Gearhart all the time 40 years ago while looking
for early patented of knitting and sewing machines. Now, this style
knitting machine
are so in short supply and popular with users today that new versions are being made of plastic and sold. It
seems these vintage ones have a loyal following and much info and
instructions are available.
The machine sat in a barn the last 50 or so years. I cleaned it up and it seems to work fine. The needle cylinder is round and in good shape. All needle slots are full The clyinder turns full circles easily when clamped to a table. All the needles go up and down. Critters got to the original instructions, but copies are available for download. There are numerous accessory pieces as shown in the pics.
What is here all looks to be in good working condition, but I do not know if anything is missing. If there are questions ask.
