Troughton & Sims/ London 6" Ivory Protractor / Scale / Rule A nice example. Most
sellers call these off as an navigation tool, and many are found in cased
Maritime / Navigation sets, or as an architect scale / rule. This rule is marked Troughton & Sims/ London a well known English maker. It is configured similar to a Architects Rule with numerous scales and a protractor on the perimeter. Rules like this are usually found in boxed drafting sets, or traveling Shagreen cases associated with navigation or architects. It has developed a nice even yellow Patina, and the overall condition is good.

Millers Falls No. 2 Hand Drill
Nice!! An early model with Rosewood handle, and the crank wheel roller guide that
was dropped on later models. It appears the small crank handle wood knob has
been repaired or replaced given the screw and nuts. 2 original bits. It has a side handle. The chuck is nice, and it runs as
smooth as one would want. The favorite handdrill of users.

The patentees name was Gilbey M. Clifton and the number is 1,915,404. The plier is stamped with a different 1933 date

Vernier Depth Gauge, Caliper Type - Japanese
Good useable condition with no issues other than being dirty and used.Scales are in inches and mm. The increment marks are still good. The rule is called off as 6" or 150 m. The micro adjust works properly. Lots of Japanese logos / letters, but the name is not spelled out - in English anyway. The leather case is a bit too small and marked Craftsman. Nice enough.

marked Made in USA and look to be some alloy metal other than steel or cast iron.
The operation and jaws on both are good. The Japanese one looks to be a nicer piece. These are handy little tools and

The vise is mounted on a steel plate that seems original given the paint or finish is the same as on the vise. Jaws have some small top scars. There is a small cut on one side of the rear jaw as pictured. It will not affect use or the integrity of the vise. Might have been done on purpose to help hold or steady something.
The swivel base lock nut bars are not original and are replacements that function. I pounded on the ends to flare them a bit so they will not fall out.
A well made heavy duty vise and the vise of choice for users. Ready to go back to work.

Reed Metal Lathe Head Stock
This weighs a good 80 lbs. or more. It is being sold AS-IS for parts. I will break it down to smaller parts if you want specific parts.
This lathe headstock came from a large working lathe that was stripped down before being abandoned.
It looks like the previous owner repaired lamps given the wooden & brass forms found with it.
Those accessories and other parts are offered in other sales.
There is a crack in one bearing cap. Other than that it looks pretty good. I had it apart to clean it, and can ship it whole, or any parts you may want or need. I am open to offers. Figure any part or group of parts is going to be close to the low / low asking price. The end spindle measures approx. 1.25 x 11 TPI. I have numerous parts that fit this in other ads.

wing dividers No. 106 - 6 are top of the line. The pricker / spaced
punch is adjustable. I am not sure what the proper name for it is.
The "leather collar palm" is unmarked and in good condition. It was

How To Carve Leather by Al Stohlman This
is a 1952 edition. The title goes on to read Featuring ABC's of Figure Carving. Stohlman was a prolific writer
on how to work with and carve leather.

Gearhart Circular Knitting Machine
I remember walking past circular knitting machines like this Gearhart numerous
times 40 years ago while looking for early patented knitting and sewing
machines. Now, this style knitting machine are in short supply and popular with
today's users that new versions are being made of plastic. It
seems these vintage ones have a loyal following and a lot of information,
parts, and instructions on use are available online.
The machine sat in a barn the last 50 or so years. I cleaned it up and it seems to work fine. The needle cylinder is round and in good shape. All needle slots are full and needles move freely. The cylinder turns full circles easily when clamped to a table. All the needles go up and down. Critters got to the original instructions, but copies are available for download. There are numerous accessory pieces as shown in the pics.
What is here all looks to be in good working condition, but I do not know if anything is missing. If there are questions ask.
