Sample / Toy Cookstove This antique salesman
sample / child size toy Royal American Cookstove has a great look
and appeal. It is an exact representation of a full size stove produced in
the late 1800's and into the beginning of the 20th century. The makers
location is on the front and the name Royal American appears on both sides
on the main doors.
It measures approx 18" long across the front and stands about 10" tall.
It is a heavy and well detailed stove. This stove was offered by the
Bridgeford & Co. of Louisville KY. There are other stoves that are nearly
identical to this one with different names, and the name plates on this one
are applied rather than cast into the doors.
The stove is in good condition and original. There are no breaks, repairs, or damage I can see other than some pitting to the top and lids. Note the letter A cast into each of the 4 legs. This antique toy cookstove, that many refer to as a salesman sample is a super piece and will make a great accent piece. It measures approx 12" long across the front and stands about 10"
tall. .
The stove is in super condition and original. The pots are designed to fit into the round holes when the plates are removed, and each one is a different size. There are no breaks, repairs or damage I can see other than the lid to the water reservoir which is a replacement.. This antique toy stove that many refer to as a salesman sample is a super piece and will make a great accent piece in the decor. Sample / Toy Little Eva Cookstove This antique salesman
sample / child size toy cookstove has a great look
and appeal. The makers name is on the hearth plate, and reads T. Southard.
This style stove can be found with several different names on it, so the molds
must have been sold or transferred between different manufacturers over the
years. The reference I have dates them back as early as the 1850's.
It measures approx 14" long and 10" across the front.
Stoves like this make for great accent pieces, and the different models available from the different stove companies and toy manufacturers can make for an interesting collecting category. This Little Eva stove was designed to have only three legs, two in front and one in the rear. They were also offered with 4 legs as well. The legs on this one appear to have been recast in Aluminum when this stove was restored some years back but look original and fit exactly. The rest of the stove is in super condition and original.
