Stanley #32 Transitional Jointer Plane The left one is very nice with lots of original finish and no problems.   Top ..... Good + .... $65.00

Stanley  Transitional Jack Plane  This transitional plane is in nice condition.  It measures 16" long.  I think it is a 27.                 Right .....Good ..... $20.00

5 Stanley Transitional Planes 

In front is a look alike B-plane  the rest are graduated size Stanley Transitional planes.     Good  .....  $25.00 / choice

On the left is a Stanley Prelateral #24.  It has been repainted and looks good.  Used but OK.  Left .......... Good ..... $40.00

Next is a Stanley 22.  that has been refinished and look very nice.   Middle ........ Good ..... $35.00   

The front one is a #122 Liberty Bell that has been refinished  The wood is dark.   Right  ....... Good  .....  $25.00

4 #35 Transitional  Smooth Planes  Here is the way it went with this collector and transitional planes.  The collector went from Primitives and general line antique tools to begin concentrating on Stanley.  This was back in the 70's.  There was little published info and so he bought what he saw with reckless disregard.  He began to see or learn about different "types" and being a true collector thought he did not need just one #36 or any other number, he needed one of each major type.  With a lateral, without, first lateral, solid nut, marked Bailey, Stanley, Eagle mark etc.    Each of the above planes is slightly different.  Click for Pic    

The one of note is the plane in front.  It is a type 2 - 4 with solid cap and nut.  The toe is unmarked, and he thought it was a replacement, but I do not know that -----it is too well done.

Stanley #28 Transitional Jointer Plane This is a first lateral, and according to the tag one of the first he found.  He was very proud of this one.  The top and sides are refinished, but he forgot to do the bottom.

Stanley #28 Transitional Jointer Plane This is a # 28 first lateral as well.  The specialness had worn off and he did not bother refinishing this one. 

Stanley #32 Type 2 Transitional Jointer Plane   This is an early # 32 with solid cap and a Boston Bailey w/ Woods removed solid nut
