# 4 C Smooth Plane
Jacob Siegley was
best known for his series of combination planes that were similar in design to Stanley's
#45 plane. He also made a line of bench planes. This iron bodied # 4
C size is marked on the base near the handle. The wood is nice and there is

# 5C Jack Plane
Jacob Siegley was
best known for his series of combination planes that were similar in design to Stanley's
#45 plane. He also made a line of bench planes. This iron bodied corrugated
plane is a #5 size. Siegley numbered his planes like Stanley, but the numbers did
not always correspond to the size Stanley produced. His later products
looked like Stanley planes and this is one of those. This one numbered 5 does
roughly. It is in very nice condition. The wood is nice and there is
no rust or pitting. The cutter has the double S S mark.

Plow Plane
This is a nice plane by a well known competitor
of Stanley's. Siegley made minor design changes in this line of planes over
the years, and figuring out the differences is a challenge.
