Most of the sewing related antiques you will find on this and our other Sewing Accessories pages originated from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, and were part two large and diverse antique sewing collections we are handling on consignment.  This is the first time most of these pieces have been out on the market in many years.

English Scalloped Edge Sterling Thimble  English hallmarks that I read as "II", "JE", an anchor, a lion, and an "X", lovely scalloped band.

Russian Enamel Silver Thimble  Wirework design soldered to the surface of the thimble, with red, white, turquoise, cobalt blue and emerald green fired enamel in the compartments.  Bears "88" mark on the outside of the band.

Sterling and Enamel German Thimble  Bears the mark of Lotthammer-Eber of West Germany.  Hallmarked "Sterling", "Germany", and "4".  Lovely enamel band with flowers / leaves, with no chips.  Manufacturer's mark on the top.
