Antique & Vintage Sewing Accessories
Pincushions
Most of the sewing related antiques you will find on this and our other Sewing Accessories pages originated from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, and were part two large and diverse antique sewing collections we are handling on consignment. This is the first time most of these pieces have been out on the market in many years.
4 Victorian Antique Pin Cushions These pin cushions are wonderful! The one on the top is intricately carved vegetable ivory and resembles a little urn. The heart shaped cushion on the left is sterling silver and unpolished. Although slightly disfigured it is still quite lovely. The cushion is velvet. The little tufted pillow shaped cushion on the right is made from silk fabric---slightly faded but in otherwise amazingly nice condition. The one on the bottom looks like a little booklet with a mother-of-pearl front and back "cover" and velvet edges. These are the type of antique sewing / needlework accessories that are rarely found anymore, except when they come out of long-time collections as these did. Click for Pic
