Comptometer
Adder / Calculator The Comptometer
Adder / Calculator is one of the most commonly seen and well know of all calculators.
The first models were housed in a wooden case and are quite hard to find, but
these later models in tan / brown metal cases are quite common and abound.
This one is in pretty nice cosmetic condition, but is being offered as just
a shelf piece. They make for a nice display and speak to how far along
we have come since these were phased out by more advanced adders and calculators.

Base
5 Adder / Calculator Here is
a different one. I flunked non Euclidian geometry, and did not do much
better when they had tried to explain base 5 math before that but that is what this seem
to be. It looks like it can carry numbers from one column to the next,
and none makes any sense to me. It says it was made in Japan, perhaps it is
for counting Yen. Different.

Sharp
Compet #16 Calculator This
calculator was cutting edge technology in 1970 when the buyer paid over
$800.00 for it. I have the original receipt and instructions. I got it from
a local museum where they were about to de-ascension it to the dumpster.
Even though there is a guarantee in writing, it appears some unauthorized personnel
took out some screws from the case and misplaced them when performing some maintenance.
It looks great cosmetically, but there are no guarantees any more.

their Blackberries.
I remember I use to try and divide Pie and have it end.
I flunked higher math because I was doing that and not listening to what they
were saying in class.
