Antique Glass Churns & Mixers
2
Dazey 2 Qt. Glass Jar Churns The churn on the left is all original and what is known as the
round logo. These were Dazey's earliest with no provision for a vent in
the top. It is not one of the new knockoff's being peddled about these
days. No chips or cracks. It is a hard one to find.
The Dazey on the right has a later top and a generic but vintage bottom. No chips or cracks.

Universal
#15 Glass Jar Churn This 1 qt churn is identified in Thornton's book. This churn
came in several sizes with the #15v being the smallest and hardest to find.
There is plenty of info both in the glass face and in the cast top. They
also came in the 25, 35, & 45 sizes. There is a sliver / chip
along the top edge on the rim of the jar. It would not affect use, and is
on th4e backside when displayed. This is a very hard to find churn.

Mayonnaise or other similar thing. Note the cutout letter design of the top

White
and Blue Enamelware Borden's Buttermilk "Churn" This is a great display piece for the churn collector, the
Borden's collector, or anyone who likes great antique advertising and Country
Store items! My understanding is that this was a dispenser that sat on the
countertop. It originally had a spigot and would have been filled with ice
to cool the interchangeable jug of buttermilk that would have sat on top, much
like the way a water cooler works today. It stands about 24" tall
with a diameter at the top of just over 12". It is thick white
enamelware over metal, and fashioned to resemble a 16-sided wooden stave
churn. It is marked in rich cobalt blue lettering front and back.
There are a few dings in the enamelware but overall is in real nice
condition. Imagine how great it could look with a piece of glass on top
displaying your favorite churn, or coffee grinder, or whatever you want to show
off!

Rare
Painted Wooden Churn Manufactured by DeWolf & Co. Portland,
Maine A great piece of
Country Americana in fine condition, this wooden tabletop churn is in its
original blue-green paint and is marked "DeWolf & Co. Manufacturers
Portland, ME". DeWolf is an old New England family name, which is
where this piece was purchased. It stands about 24" high and the
lid, which has a hinged inspection "door", lifts off to reveal a
uniquely designed gear-driven dasher mechanism. This example looks
like it was used little if at
all.
