Detachable Handle Dover Sleeve Iron with Rainbow Grip    This little sleeve iron has a removable hood with a half-circle or rainbow shaped wooden handle, a rounded back, and a nicely pointed toe.  It measures just under 4.5 inches long.  (TC324[b])

Unusual Sliding Latch Childs Iron   This is a very unique design of a latch on a child size  iron.  Don't confuse it with a Dover---it is a hard to find variation and probably made by a competitor who didn't make it given how few are seen.   It is in super condition.

3 Dover Sadirons   Dover was the maker of the famed adult-size A-Best-O removable top sadirons.  They also had a full line of child size irons, which they touted as so well made that they could be used by adults for real ironing as well.  Here are three different examples.  On the left is what they called the A-Best-O 602.  In the middle is the Dover Dolly Iron.  On the right is the one-piece that looks like a two-piece Dover.  All three are in very nice condition.

Dover Removable Handle Childs Sleeve Iron   This is a Dover. These were marketed as both toys or children's irons, and as real irons for mom to use on small linens, laces, ribbons and such.   It is in super condition.  The top is marked with the May 22, 1900 patent date.
