Yankee Screwdriver / Drill  Countertop Display   If condition were to win prizes, this piece would get the Gold Medal.  It is so pristine and bright that it is breathtaking.  Pieces of this caliber and quality appear rarely and disappear just as quickly.  This opportunity will not repeat itself anytime soon so..    Excellent...........$1295.00   SOLD

bello.jpg (13001 bytes)30" NOS Baker & Hamilton Blacksmith Bellows   This super piece of California history is 48" tall x 30" across, is NOS, and was never used.   When I got it still had the original pieces of leather strapping holding it shut.  Over the years there was some drying of the leather, but I believe that between the softening treatments I gave it, and the ones that you give it, this great piece will still be serviceable.  There is one small 3" tear in the leather up near the nozzle end on one side, but this would be repairable without redoing all of the leather.  The overall condition is wonderful and the stencil coming from California's most famous Hardware store is super. You just do not see them in this sort of condition, ever.     Good+..........$395.00           SOLD!

Barnes #6 Scroll Saw   The operation of this model is different from most of those encountered  in that it derives its power from a small round leather belt and pulley system instead of the springy wooden arms which are typical on these saws.  This example is in very nice condition and has no major casting problems or breaks.  There is still considerable pin striping on the body, and it displays very nicely.         SOLD.....$695.00    SOLD

Barnes #3 Pedal Powered Antique 5' Lathe This is a super nice example of Barnes's largest and most popular pedal powered lathe.  Over the years it was offered in several different configurations, with this being the final version.  Barnes stopped production of these in the late 20's due to a number of considerations including the depression, and the fact that electricity was becoming available in remote places.  They came in several lengths with this being the 5' model.  The condition of the working parts is excellent, tight and ready to again perform any lathe related task given to it.  All parts are original except for the rod to hold the seat up, and there is one small weld repair to the butterfly shaped bracket that holds the main shaft to the leg assembly.  The belt will need to be replaced but is whole for the moment.  The head stock and tailstock show little signs of wear or even use and are tight and nice.  The tool rest which is the larger version is nice as well.  These are not found very often, and the condition and functionality is great.     Excellent ..... $2495.00     SOLD

Emmert Patternmakers Vice    This is the large size vice that these folks produced, and it has the ability to hold just about anything, in any position, that you could stick in it.  Everything is here including the angle plate, the adjusting rod and the bracket for it.  This vice is NOS as in never been used and has just some minor spots of rust on the bar from storage.  The jaws still have the original grease on them.  The handle and the rod are still in their original paper wrappings taped together.  There is nothing about this one that you will not like.    Excellent (NOS) .........$995.00          SOLD

Marshall Jeweler's Lathe with Collets and Accessories  This entire  Jeweler's or Watchmakers Lathe setup appears to be in very nice condition.  Jeweler's or Watchmakers lathes are typically pretty easy to find, it is the accessories that can be elusive and cost a small fortune.  This one comes with about everything you would need to have a complete and working setup.   The motor is there and running, it has a tool rest, the head, the tailstock, a three jaw chuck, a couple other chucks or faceplates mounted down below, a cross feed, approx 60 collets and a drawer full of misc parts and accessories.  Everything appears to be running smoothly with no apparent damage or problems that you need to hear about.  Most of the collets I looked at are marked Peerless and are in excellent condition with no signs of rust or excessive use.  All in all a very nice set-up, and  if you are looking for a complete and working setup to start a shop or add to the existing shop you need look no further.      SOLD.....$695.00       SOLD

Small Treadle Powered Lathe  This small lathe is in very nice condition, and there are no casting breaks in the frame or foot pedal.  It is unmarked as to manufacturer, but is typical of the many different styles that were available back near the turn of the last century.             Excellent ......$295.00           SOLD

Lathe  This Goodell Pratt small lathe is in very nice condition, and there are no casting breaks in the frame        Excellent ......$275.00           SOLD

Star Jigsaw  This Star Jigsaw has been restored. It looks pretty good and seems to be operable.   I believe the table has been recast / replaced.  It has a lip at the edge and so might be right and just buffed up for the restoration.  Note that under the arm there is a tube and rod affair.  This looks to be a recreation to represent what i assume was a blower to blow the dust from the work.  The rest of this saw looks great and it is a very graphic and showy piece with its flared leg design and paint decoration.  There is patent info up near the top, and a lot of original paint and decoration remain there.

Star Jigsaw  .......  $SOLD!

Lathe / Jigsaw Combination  This has been restored as well.  It too seems to be in operating condition, and the unusual little lather attached up front looks original and operational as well.  It will need a belt to make it work though.  The foot pedal looks to be a later wooden replacement.  The tool box attached to the frame does not look original to me.  I believe the table may be a replacement as well.

Lathe / Jigsaw  .......  $SOLD!

Hobbies Jigsaw  This Jigsaw is as found.   It looks pretty good and seems to be operable.   It seems to just need a cleaning and to be tightened up, or bolted down.

Barnes Velocipede #2 Jigsaw  This pedal powered Barnes jigsaw has been sitting on the same shelf for over 20 years.  It was repainted and restored when bought, and has sat  idly waiting for its time to come.  The shelf is about 8' up in the air so it was a bit difficult to get any real good shots.  I could not see any repairs or evidence of welding, but could not get all the way around it.  Both the buyer (a collector), and seller (another collector),  were old time tool collectors, and any major mechanical defects would have been addressed before raising it to this resting place.  These Barnes Velocipede model jigsaws are becoming very hard to find these days.  The price assumes there is nothing materially wrong, and if truly interested I can give you more detailed info.

CYN-SAWPP-3

 Good ..... $ SOLD!

Barnes  #7 Pedal Jigsaw  This pedal powered Barnes jigsaw is a bit less complex than the Velocipede offered above and was the more common model sold as it was less expensive.  This saw needs a bit of restoration and reassembly. The original top needs to be glued back up, the belt is missing and the rod from the pedal needs to be replaced.

There is lots of original paint and decoration left, and the previous owner has applied a coat of clear lacquer or the like to protect it.  This one will make a fine user with a little effort.

Good ..... $SOLD!
